FAITH, DETERMINATION, AND PERSISTENCE, FOR YOUR HEALING
Mark 5:22-23 (AMP) – [22]“Then one of the rulers of the synagogue came up, Jairus by name; and seeing Him, he prostrated himself at His feet [23] And begged Him earnestly, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, so that she may be healed and live.”
Mark 5:25-29 (AMP) – [25] “And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, [26] And who had endured much suffering under [the hands of] many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was no better but instead grew worse. [27] She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment, [28] For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health. [29] And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, and [suddenly] she felt in her body that she was healed of her [distressing] ailment.”
Matthew 8:8 (AMP) – “But the centurion replied to Him, Lord, I am not worthy or fit to have You come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant boy will be cured.”
Three passages of scripture this morning that have a common theme.
All three concern three different people. All include Jesus. All concern different manners of sickness and healing. All concern the speaking and exercising of faith.
All three results are favorable.
What we find common to all three scenarios is that there is an extreme determination by all three characters to get Jesus to perform a miracle of healing for them.
In all three scenarios they are successful.
The question this morning is why? Perhaps even more important is to question, how?
If you are suffering in some way today, and in need of a healing, you want to know more about how. You can always study the why later. Amen?
Strong determination is usually followed by a particular faith.
Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) – “NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
If you are determined to be healed, that means you have a strong faith.
If you do not have a strong faith today, than that means you are simply “hoping” to be healed. Hoping is NOT believing. You must believe and be determined you are going to get from Jesus what He promises all BELIEVERS.
Open your personal bible and read each passage I gave today. Read the full context. Be believing as you read understanding these scriptures are for you and YOUR healing for today.
“If it isn’t now, it isn’t faith!”
Ask yourself, “If I don’t do this now, than when?”
In the interest of time today, let me skip to the one other thing I believe is necessary for you to be healed of your affliction today.
IF you have the faith and determination today that will get you over to your healing today, then you must speak it out!
Each one of the people in the scriptures today spoke their determination directly to Jesus.
Jairus knew that his daughter would be healed if he could get Jesus to come with him. “Come and lay your hands on her so that she may be healed and live!” Can you speak such faith for your affliction today?
The woman with the “issue of blood” had a strong faith and determination for her very serious 12 year affliction. She proclaimed, “For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health.” See? She “kept saying”. Persistence AND determination! Is that you today?
Finally, there is the Roman Centurion. His servant was very sick to the point of death. He also spoke a great faith saying, “only speak the word, and my servant boy will be cured.”
In each of these we see far more than enough proof that Jesus is willing to heal, does heal, and the way that healing is appropriated. There is no mumbo jumbo here. No contrived man made methods or hucksterism. There is one thing and one thing only, and that is a total willingness on the part of Jesus combined with a strong faith, determination, and persistence.
I am going to join my faith with you today as you seek His healing touch.
Be determined. Be persistent. Don’t give up.
Be healed in the name of Jesus TODAY! Jesus NEVER fails!
Now believe it and confess it! I AM HEALED!
Keepin’ it Real,
~Doc~
