DOC LYNCH·TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2024 ·READING TIME: 3 MINUTES
Mark 4:35 (AMP)
35 On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake].
How far will the enemy go to stop or prevent us from accomplishing the will of God?
As far as it takes to make God look like a liar. Or, to try to kill us if necessary.
In this account of the storm at sea that is exactly how far he was willing to go.
Mark 4:37 (AMP)
37 “And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.”
Have you ever asked yourself why Jesus needed to cross the sea at exactly the same moment a terrible storm was to happen?
Follow the story. Even into the next chapter.
Great things were to happen on the other side.
A great evangelist was in the making whom Jesus needed to free from many demons first.
God would use that former maniac to proclaim Jesus in the great city of Decapolis which would reach many thousands of people.
The devil knew how important it was, so he tried to kill Jesus and any present number of believers who would eventually begin the Church on Earth. He could get them all in one fell swoop if he could sink their boat.
He didn’t know Jesus very well. He couldn’t kill Him then. He couldn’t kill Him later.
Jesus owns him. Lock, stock, and the Gates of Hell (Matt. 16:17-19).
Note an interesting play of words in the AMP.
“And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose…”.
Note as well…, “And He arose and rebuked the wind…”.
A STORM arose…but HE also arose…
A storm arises, but we also arise.
Each and every day.
Today…whatever your plan is. Evil plans are hatched.
James 4:14 (AMP)
14 “Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow.”
What we do know, however…is that Jesus is alive and intercedes for us before the Father.
Make your plans today. And tomorrow…and…
Make them with Jesus in mind.
We will cross that sea. Remove that mountain from our way.
Your words are the words of Jesus. Your hands are the hands of Jesus.
You will move great preachers into place. Start great generations of people on one healing.
You may not be perfect, but Jesus is.
I think the devil knows by now that Jesus is greater.
He still thinks you’re weak.
He doesn’t know the Jesus in YOU is the same Jesus.
You own him and his cohorts as well. He must listen to you.
Test it out. Everything works for you in the Name of Jesus!
He never fails. Never.
Keepin’ it REVIVED,
Pastor Doc Lynch
