PSYCHIC PHENOMENA AND THE CULTURE OF DEATH

Here’s what I have discovered.

A culture of death cultivates more death.

We are living in a culture of death.

How do I know?

Media.

Just watch TV. It’s all about death. Note the increase in paranormal ghost story shows.

Worse than that, take a drive around your neighborhood.

Seems like in more than a few places I have visited over the last few years, I have run across these small houses with elaborate signs, some obnoxiously lit up in neon or flashing lights which say. “Psychic”, along with further advertisements for tarot card readings, fortune telling, and other spiritual type assistance.

People used to call on the local pastor for help in spiritual matters.

Now they go to the dead.

Cultures of the dead breed more dead.

Only life gives life.

I cringe every time I hear a story about someone visiting a medium, fortune teller, witch, wizard, etc.

They know not what they do.

The bible says:

Isaiah 8:19 (Amplified Bible) “And when the people [instead of putting their trust in God] shall say to you, Consult for direction mediums and wizards who chirp and mutter, should not a people seek and consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?”

Instead of putting their trust in God.

Ever wonder how these psychics stay in business? How they make money?

Even desperate people usually will not throw their hard earned money away.

They go and keep going because they get results.

The medium is able to tell them things that tend to come true. They come true because the medium is tapping into the dark side of spirituality. The dark side makes things happen. It’s all designed to steal your soul from God.

Even using base logic it makes sense. Should the dead be consulted on behalf of the living?

No. It shouldn’t. In fact, it musn’t. It’s downright dangerous.

People often get more than they bargained for. They open themselves up to a life of demonic torment just by walking in the door.

I know. I have been involved in many efforts to turn those unfortunate circumstances around.

I have been fortunate to see more success than failure. Jesus never fails.

Just because we are surrounded by a death culture doesn’t mean we have to give into it.

In Christ is life. He is not only the Way and the Truth, but He is also the Life.

Throw away your tarot cards, talismans, fetishes, and ouija boards. Cleanse your environment of the death culture.

My prayer today is that you would choose life in every circumstance. Be the preserver and bearer of Life in a dark and sinister world that magnifies death. The task is daunting, but Light always vanquishes darkness!
