CHURCHULOSITY

Nebulosity – the condition of being nebulous.

Nebulous – cloudy, misty, hazy, vague.

Churchulosity – the condition of being churchulous.

Churchulous – cloudy, misty, hazy, vague.

When we lose our direction as believers, when we stray off into other galaxies, when we lose our compass point…we become “churchulous”.

What does this mean? Well, let the Word speak.

2 Timothy 3:5 (AMP)  – “For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].”

“their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession”.

Jesus sprinklers or just plain false teachers of nonsensical body, soul, spirit hybrid philosophies.

The duped. They think they are making an impact upon those who are godless when in reality are slowly being indoctrinated into the false and carnal culture they have elected to spend most of their time with. Captivity. Slavery. Bye-bye Jesus.

Modern Israelites. They have become like their captors.

The avoidance of churchulosity comes through knowing and remembering from where you came and how you got to ground zero of the Cross. Realizing as well that we are a new breed, a new race of people that will always clash with cultures they even think are trying to draw us in.

1 Peter 1:23-25 (AMP)  – “You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God. 24 For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honor) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off, 25 But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you.”

Sounds simple enough. How in the world could a person lose sight of that?

An exchange of immortality for mortality. Trading the spirit for the flesh. Trading what is eternal and immortal for what will wither and die eventually. Momentary, fleeting satisfaction.  The clear and sparkling for the misty and hazy. Going backwards.

Lonely, lonely people who crave friendship and a longing to belong that they give up the only ones who ever cared for them to begin with.

You become churchulous. Vague, hazy, misty. Eventually a vapor. Then phttt…gone.

Romans 1:22-23 (AMP) – “Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves]. 23 And by them the glory and majestyand excellence of the immortal God were exchanged for and represented by images, resembling mortal man and birds and beasts and reptiles.”

Silly rabbits. If I didn’t actually witness this played our before my eyes, if I didn’t have hardcopy to prove it, I would never believe it. Knowing what I know, living like I live, trusting like I trust, it is unfathomable to even perceive giving up one iota of it in exchange for even years of carnal satisfaction.

Oh, God. We need a breakthrough. Not fake revival. Not bigger buildings. Not more programs. Not choirs and orchestras.

The story is not being told from them who really believe it because the rank and file of those who really believe it is shrinking. The more believers who get dragged off into captivity will be numbered as the lost generation.

We need a return. Now, there is revival. A return. Prodigals. “Father, it didn’t work, but I’m back now.”

Keepin’ it Real,

~Doc~
